There has been a controversy brewing on the Minecraft side of YouTube centered around well known Minecraft creator Dream. He’s been accused of faking his speedrun and it has caused a lot of stir. I’m not here to point fingers or accuse anyone. What I’m doing today, Theorists, is going over the facts of this situation and why it is a lot more complicated than people are making it out to be.

  1. Dude…. people already do competitive Minecraft?? Like that’s already a thing. They race on the same seed, or even stuff like the recent SmallAnt vs Linkus match who play with a bingo board and try to complete different challenges before the other.

I understand where you’re coming from but I think there’s room for speedruns in the nether update AND other things. Speedruns are sometimes about luck! And that’s okay. It’s also okay to give top level players other challenges, like races and competitions.

  2. If you analyse the situation to a whole different level you could be able to bring religion into such a topic, karma can influence random luck in some people's opinions so could this mean that dream has good karma which in turn gave him better luck?
